2015
Dawson Tyler launched Down East Preservation with his first employee Doug King. They completed their first restoration at the historic Hannibal Badham home built in 1875.
2019
Down East Preservation purchased its main headquarters in Edenton's historic district and became a permanent fixture in the community.
2020
Down East Woodworks is established to provide customers with the opportunity for customized pieces for inside and outside their homes.
Burton Swain joined the Down East Preservation team, filling out our leadership and bringing inspiring solutions to our team.
2021
Down East Preservation revived the historic Joseph Hewes building, completing the Surf, Wind and Fire store that sits at the center of Edenton’s historic downtown.
2022
Down East Properties is established in preparation for the launch of the exciting new neighborhood, the Jackson Dairy. Down East Preservation also received its Unlimited General Contracting license.
Down East Preservation completed the purchase of the Jackson Dairy property and began clearing the land for Edenton's most ambitious housing expansion in decades.
