In 1896, a massive ice house was built on the bank of the Albemarle Sound to support the thriving Herring fishing industry. After watching this building remain empty for decades, Down East Preservation partnered with a local couple to restore the building into a stunning new restaurant.

Down East Preservation collaborated with the owners of Blue Moon Beach Grill located in Nags Head, NC to deliver a unique finished design that allowed the stories of the Outer Banks to naturally unfold.
