The Blue Moon Beach Grill located in Nags Head, North Carolina, moved to a new location in early 2023. Scott and Melissa Shields, the owners of the restaurant, trusted Down East Preservation to deliver a unique finished design for their new restaurant location. At Down East Preservation, our vision for the new restaurant design was a collaboration of creative ideas that were carefully pieced together by our team, complimenting the high expectations already established for the customers of The Blue Moon Beach Grill. Focus was placed on the thoughtfulness behind each selection and how it would play a role in narrating the history of the surrounding area. Our team worked together to intertwine and sprinkle design elements throughout the space to allow the stories of the Outer Banks to naturally unfold. Our efforts blended the history of the area with natural elements, colors, themes and artifacts, showcasing thoughtfulness behind every selection and decision. Being frequent visitors of Nags Head, this restaurant has held a special place in Down East Preservations hearts and our team is thankful to have been a part of the change.
